The city of Chicago will be holding listening sessions to obtain feedback from Chicago residents about with disabilities about their experiences at cultural events in the city. The city wishes to get feedback about cultural events at venues such as museums, theatres, music venues, art galleries, festivals and movie theatres.
These input sessions will be used to guide future event planning and improve accessibility for Chicago residents and visitors with disabilities.
The disability community will be asked to address the following questions:
These input sessions are being hosted by the city of Chicago Mayor’s Office of People with Disabilities (MOPD) and Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).
Sign language interpreters and CART will be provided at this session.
